Paintball at Gen-X paintball park, Simpang Empat

When we talk about paintball, there are plenty of nice places to go. If you are looking for something cheap and affordable, Gen-X is quite a good and cheap paintball park.

There are two arena. One with hump, and several natural alike obstacles. It make the feel like in battlefield.

The other one with air balloon or bag. Well this doesn’t look fun to me.

There is a target shooting area if you have plenty of bullets or practicing before entering the arena.

The suite may not really good at absorbing pain. Just a plain jacket and a helmet. Getting a shot at near range to the body can be paintball. Therefore, we don’t play short distance shooting.

Overall it is not a good place to play if you can afford a better place. However, if want to play some paintball at cheaper price, this place can be quite affordable.

Bowling at Sunshine Square, Bayan Lepas

This may not be something new. Somehow when friends around me heard about bowling, they thought of 3 places. Penang Bowl, Bukit Jambul Complex and One Stop Midlands. Actually there are one bowling centre at Sunshine Square. Of course it is not something new. A lot people may knew about that as well. There was one day when I was taking the lift near to the food court and McD ice-cream counter, I look up to the floor numbering. The tag shows 5th floor with bowling sign stated “Premium Lanes”. Come to my curiosity, so I take a stop at 5th floor. Indeed it is a very nice bowling alley.

I never had a chance to play but until recently we are having a team year end event. A small one. I plan a small games at Premium Lanes bowling centre and then have a dinner at Fisherman Wharf at level 2.

There are quite some amount of bowling alley. About 30 of them… err.. don’t really recall that. There are also bumper that available to turn off and on for newbies who use to bowl into the drain.

The bowling balls are not that not that good shape. Well, can’t expect much as most of the bowling centre are the same unless we brought our own bowling balls. The bowling balls are quite oily. You will feel the oily and when you wash your hand, you will notice dirty water.

They do sell bowling balls, shoes and bag if you want something personal.

The place are quite full with people during lunch hour but less people after 7PM due to the price. It cost around RM3.50 around lunch hour and RM5 after 5PM. Can’t remember well but I think it get more expensive when the day went late. Overall it is still a nice place to bowl. In Bayan Lepas, beside eating, karaoke, bowling can kill time and money if considering to avoid jam after work. Or maybe some team event.
